日に日に寒くなりますね、これくらいで止まれば過ごしやすいんですがまだまだ寒くなりますからね、怖いです。

さて昨日の続きです、まず染色後に縁に加工をして縫い合わせる準備をします。

なかなかいい感じに彫れていたので良かったです！ここまで来たらあとは作っておいた中のパーツと縫い合わせて出来上がりになります。
今回は通っている鞄教室の方法で縫い合わせてみました。今までの方法の良さと欠点、今回の縫い方にもそれがあります、物によって使い分ける為にもしっかりと覚えなければいけませんね。

It’s getting colder day by day and I’m afraid because I know it’s only going to get colder!

Continuing from yesterday’s blog, I’m going to talk about sewing.  I learned from a seminar a different way to sew.  I tried it out on this wallet and found that there are advantages and disadvantages to the new style and my old style.  I have to decide which one is better, although it’s hard to determine because the advantages are different.

LEATHER CARVING SEMINAR

こんばんは！もう一昨日の事ですがDAVID KAWAMURAさんのレザーカービングの講習会に参加してきました！
アメリカのテキサス在住で唯一の現役日本人サドル職人として活躍されている方です。
今回カービングしたDAVIDさんの図案は特徴的な部分が多くあり、一目で彼が彫ったとわかります。これはとても凄い事です。　作品自体がもう名刺ですね、これは自分も目指しているところですがまだまだ旅の途中といった感じですね。
久しぶりに参加した講習会でしたがやはり得るものが沢山ありましたし、自分以外の人のデザインを彫ってみるのは勉強になりました。

いつも思うことですがすげ～人は目が強いよね。楽しく皆で飲んで解散しました。

友達の家に泊めてもらって次の日は上野にジーパン買いに行きました。

糊落として今日から履いています！これでまた４～５年は買わないな。いい色になってくれるといいな。

そして今日は二つ折りの財布のデザインを書いてカービングしました。DAVIDさんの講習会から収穫したものを自分なりに沢山盛り込んでみたつもりです！

今回はオープンボーダーで書きました、いつもは枠に収めますが今回は出ちゃってます、なかなか迫力があっていいかなと思います。　

カット後です、いつもは極端に長い線をカットしなくていいようにデザインしますが今回はあえて長い線をカットしなくてはいけないデザインを書きました。　染め上がりと出来上がりが非常に楽しみです！

Yesterday I attended DAVID KAWAMURA’s leather seminar in Tokyo.  He’s a Japanese national living in Texas and specializes in saddles.

At first glance you can understand David’s character as his leatherwork are an extension of his character.  He is able to convey his creativity through his work.  Just as I do, his carving reflects his expression. 

After the seminar we hung out for a while and I enjoyed getting to know him better.  Some say eyes are the key to the soul and by looking into David’s eyes, you can see his strength.

After spending the night at a friend’s house, I went to Ueno and bought a new pair of jeans!  For those who don’t know, there are pairs of jeans that are made to shrink after its first wash.  The more you wear them, the more the creases and lines develop.  I’m excited to wash my jeans today!

Now back to leatherwork.  This is the drawing design for a half wallet.  I learned a lot of technique at David’s seminar and couldn’t wait to practice them.

For this wallet, I drew an open design and traced it onto the leather.  After that, I carved the leather and after seeing the piece, I cannot wait to dye and complete the project!

HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO FRAME PART4

おはようございます、今日でフォトフレームについては最後の投稿になります。

背景を染め終わった後にトップコートをかけます、ここも職人さんそれぞれにアレンジしてやっているようです、ツヤがあるのかないのかや厚めにするのか薄めにするのかなどです。　自分は中間より少し厚めが今は好きですね。

その後ペースト染料で染色後に裁断して額に収めます。

こんな感じになりました、写真では上手く伝わらないですね、、、。実物はいい感じですよ！

オーダーの際に相談しながらメッセージも決めていきます、日本語で伝えて頂ければこちらで英語にしてメッセージを彫り込みます、もちろんご希望があれば日本語のままでもカービング致します。

Good morning, today I’ll finish discussing photo frames. 

After dyeing the background, I applied a topcoat to the leather.  Distributing the topcoat evenly across the leather is difficult; you don’t want the topcoat spread too thick or too thin and making sure to spread it evenly is not easy!

Along with the design of the project, I also think about the message.  The customer wanted to express thanks in English as opposed to Japanese so I had to decide on what best conveys the message.  Of course I can carve the message in Japanese if requested.  Just goes to show how customized and personalized you want your product to be.

TOKYO AND CHIBA

こんにちは、昨日は東京へ納品に行きその後に昔お世話になっていた方々に挨拶に行きました。
朝から久しぶりに会う人ばかりと会ってしゃべっていたので夜には喉が痛くなってました、、、。でも皆変わらない感じだったので嬉しかったです。

思いがけずオーダーも３つ頂けました、感謝です。

夜は友だちと千葉で飲んでそのままホテルを取って寝ました、今朝は今進めているプロジェクトの会議に行きました。製造元の社長さんと営業担当の方、そして販売元の社長さんと自分です。ちょっと厳しめの結果でした、、、商品開発は難しいですがあきらめないでまた試作品を提出したいと思います。

その後そのまま問屋さんを回って帰宅しました。　疲れましたが収穫はあったと思います。

明日はフォトフレームの事を書きたいと思います。

Hello!  I went to Tokyo yesterday to deliver some products and met up with some old coworkers.  During the day it was great to see so many friends and talk with them…. I talked so much my throat got sore but it was fun to see they haven’t changed.

I also got 3 orders, which I appreciate. 

At night, I stayed at a friend’s house in Chiba after hanging out and then went to a business meeting this morning.  I met with the president of a leather backpack company to discuss how to incorporate my designs into his bags.  Although we’re still working on the designs, I won’t give up because of the huge opportunity it presents.

After the meeting, I took the president home and when I got home, I slept.

Tomorrow I’ll continue about photo frames.

HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO FRAME PART3

おはようございます！　今日で第三回目ですね。
次の工程は長い線をたたき出していきます、ここでようやく全体像がはっきりしてきますね。
またデザインを書いた段階では気付けなかった良くないラインが出てきたりしますが最近は思った通りのラインの流れを出せるようになりました。

次の工程では背景を潰していきます、背景なので見る部分ではないのですがこの刻印を綺麗に打刻するのはとても難しいです、自分以外の作品を見る時もついつい目が行ってしまう部分です。

次はフィニッシュカットを入れます、これは打刻の後に最後の表情付けとしてナイフで花やその他の部分にカットを入れていきます、これはクリント・フェイさんが言っていましたがフィニッシュカットとは製作者のサインのようなものでカットを見れば作者がわかると言っていました。　自分もカットだけでわかってもらえるような職人になりたいと思っています。

次は染色と仕上げの工程になります、まず背景と文字を染めていきますがはみ出すと消えないのでここは慎重に作業をすることになります。

この後にもう一度染色の作業が入ります。

Next I stamp lines into the leather and you can finally start to see the design.  Drawing, carving and stamping lines are done differently and slight mistakes can be seen but recently I have improved and am not making them anymore when stamping lines. 

The next step is to stamp the background.  This creates the depth in the design and if you look closely, you can see the small dots that make up the background.  The background is extremely difficult to do because of little space.  Whenever I see other craftsmen’s leather work, I always check their backgrounds to see how cleanly they can stamp them.

The finish cuts are the last step in creating the design.  Clint Fay said that “Finish cuts are very important and are a craftsman’s signature mark.  You can tell who created the work just by the finish cuts made.”  I also believe that the finish cuts distinguish one artist’s work from another and that’s why I want to be a carver.

The next step to completing the leatherwork is dyeing the product. I will talk about that in my next blog so check back tomorrow!

HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO FRAME PART2

さ～昨日の続きで今日はカービングについてです、まず革を裁断して水を含ませます、こうすることで革の吟面が柔らかくなり作業がしやすくなります。
工程によって水分の量を調節しながら作業を進めていきますがこれがなかなか難しいです。

水分が均等に行き渡ったところで先ほど書いたデザインを上に乗せて線をなぞって革にトレースします、そのあとにスーベルナイフという小さなナイフで線をカットしていきます、自分が思うにはデザインを書く事のつぎに重要な作業です。
ミスカットは修正出来ませんので気を使います。カット後の画像がこれです。

ここまで来ると一段落です、ここからは刻印を使い分けて柄をたたき出していきます、叩く強さを気にしながら立体的に流れるラインを表現していきます。

ひたすら叩きます、単純作業ですが綺麗に見せるための小技があります。そして叩きムラが出ないようにします。

ペタルという部分に表情を付けました、なんとなく雰囲気が出てきましたね。

途中ですが今日はここまでです、明日また続きを書きますね！

Continuing yesterday’s topic, I’m going to talk to you about carving.  First, I wet the leather with water to get it softer and easier to carve.  However, it’s not very easy to determine how much water to use in this step and I must spread the water out evenly over the leather.

Next, I place the tracing paper over the leather and outline the design onto the leather.  After tracing the hand-drawn design onto the leather, I take a special cutting tool called a swivel knife to cut the lines.  I think the next step is very important for the design.  I cannot correct mis-cuts in the leather so I need to be extremely careful.  Once I make cuts into the leather they’re final; there is no room for mistakes. 

Although carving can be a little monotonous, there are fine cuts that I can make for certain things to stand out.  Each cut has a purpose.

HOW TO MAKE A PHOTO FRAME

おはようございます！　今日の鴨川はすごくいい天気で気持ちがいいですよ、空気はカラッとしているので風邪には気を付けないといけないですけどね！　　ブログに書いたように日曜日にスケートをしに行きました、昨日は思ったほど体が痛くならなかったんですが今日は来てます、、、、。嫌ですね、例のあれですよ、すぐに来ないで何日か後に来るっていう。

さ～今日から制作するフォトフレームについてのレポートを何日間かに分けて書きたいと思います。

まずは作品に使用するフォトフレームを決めます、今回は写真を入れずに唐草とメッセージでスペースを埋めるので絵画を入れるような額を選んでみました。　これだけで結構時間がかかりました。

次はいよいよデザインを書いていくのですがここが非常に重要な作業になります、ジム・ジャクソンさんの講習会に参加した際に彼も言っていましたがこの作業で作品の９０%ほどが決まります、彫りを入れる際にカットで修正しながら作業するのですが本当に微調整です。　　彫りの技術を追求しがちですがデザインが一番大切だと自分では思っています、今までも好みの移り変わりやテストでいろいろ書いて掘りました、今の雰囲気を書けるようになってしばらく落ち着いていますがまたいつ変わるかは自分にもわかりません。　　
良くないデザインは世界一の技術で彫り上げても良くないデザインに変わりはないのです。

まだ書き途中ですが右上のスペースに英語でメッセージを彫ります。

Good morning!  The weather today is really beautiful but be careful not to catch a cold.  I went skateboarding on Sunday and although yesterday my body wasn’t sore, the pain came today!  It’s tricky how the pain comes two days after the activity.
Today I’m going to talk about how to make a photo frame.  The first thing that needs to be done is to decide the frame’s purpose.  This frame won’t have a picture so I have to manage the space and message for the design.  This step alone takes a long time.

Next, I prepare for the drawing of the design.  I went to Jim Jackson’s seminar and he said that the design determines 90% of the work.  Thought, patience, and focus are put into each cut of the design.  Although the outline is drawn, each individual cut is not determined until I make it.  That is what makes each piece of my work special, I never know what the exact final outcome will be because the specific design and its intricacies always change.

In the blank space, I will carve a personalized English message.  Tomorrow I”ll talk more about the carving of the piece.

STINGRAY LEATHER

おはようございます！　左の肩が痛くて両足はガクガクです。

昨日は栃木にあるマウナという所にSSCのYSKさん達と行きました、現地で合流予定の人たちもちょうど同じ時間に到着して最終的には１５人くらいだったかな。みんな上手いので盛り上がりましたよ、みんなが昼を食べにいなくなった時にチャンスだと思って滑りまっくて両足が馬鹿になってます、、、、。　でも写真右の高い所からドロップ出来たので良かったです！

さ～昨日に引き続き今日もカービングではない作品をご紹介します。
今日は吟面をすり落としたエイの革です、ワサビをするやつや武具などに使用されることもあってなぜかサメ革と誤解されていることが多かったみたいです。 たしか海の宝石とか言われてるはず、、、。あとはガルーシャだっけかな、面白いところではROCKETBUSTERというウエスタンブーツのメーカーがエイのブーツにキャビアという名前を付けて販売していますよ！吟面をすらないエイの革は小さいビーズを沢山敷き詰めた感じに見えます、そして黒であればたしかにキャビアっぽいです（笑）

エイの革は非常に丈夫で裁断する際に工夫をしなければ、いくらキンキンに研いだ刃物でも一瞬でボロボロになってしまう程に凶暴です、したがって加工するのには少々苦労します。

吟面をすってあるので光に反射してとても高級感があります、特に夜にその美しさを実感出来ると思います。
何気なくライトなどに照らされると本当に綺麗ですよ！

額縁のような感じに縁に革を足しています、手間になるのですがこうするとまた違った雰囲気になります、使用する革やオーダーを頂いたかたの雰囲気に合うように考えて仕様を決定していきます。

Yesterday I went to a skatepark in Tochigi Prefecture called Mauna.  I went with SSC’s YSK and met with about 15 people.  When skating you have to go in turns so when it was lunchtime, I took the opportunity to work on my moves when everyone else ate.  I was able to drop in on the bowl and it was great!
Continuing from yesterday’s blog, I want to show you another wallet made of exotic leather.  This one is made from Stingray skin.  Back in the day, people used stingray skin to grate wasabi and other plants as you know, stingray skin is the precious stone of the ocean. 

Stingray skin is very strong and I found it dulls my tools very quickly!  However, the leather is beautiful – the bump in the middle is shiny and when you pull out your wallet it shimmers in the light.  There is nothing like having your wallet have bling without even trying.  Priceless.

EXOTIC LEATHER

おはようございます！今日は栃木のマウナボウルというところにスケートをしに行きます！現地で仲間と集合なのでワクワクしてます！　そのことについては明日報告かな。

さ～、何日かカービングの商品の紹介をしたので今日はテジュを紹介します。トカゲの仲間らしいのですが一般的なトカゲより大きくてワイルドな印象を受けます。そして美しい、、、、、。

作業台がぐちゃぐちゃですが一所懸命に制作して出来上がるときはいつもこんな感じです（笑）仕上げることに集中しちゃってね。　でも本当はその都度道具を片付けて作業したほうがいいんでしょうね、、、。

あらら、こっちの画像はさらに散らかってるのが見えてる、、、。

でもどうでしょうかこの革、自分は非常に好きですし実際にオーダーをくださった方には非常に喜んで頂けました。綺麗に見せるためと糸がすれるのを軽減するためにフチにも工夫してあります。
ほのかに丸みを帯びて見えるフォルムも良いですね。

美しさと耐久性、そしてワイルドな要素も含んでいるお財布です。普段はカービングばかり目立って目がいかなかったり、おろそかになりがちな仕立てですがここにも個性や特徴が現れるのです、カービングがなければ尚更です。

SKATE BOARDING

おはようございます、雨が降ると寒いですね。きのうの事を少し書こうかな。

このブログに書いたようにTシャツなどを受け取ったあとに市原のスケートパークへ行きました、知ってるメンツが多くてしかも平日なのでパーク自体は人が少ないという最高な状況でした。昨日は初めて前を浮かしてクルッと回るターンにチャレンジしました！キックターンというらしい、これが結構怖かった、転ぶと痛いのはもう身をも持って知っているしそんな事思ってなくてもなんかね、でも精度はまだ高くないが出来てきている！

俺のヘルメットは金色、しかもラメ（笑）　

暗くなるまでみんなで滑ってた。帰ろうと思ったらみんな場所を変えて滑ると言い出したのでその意見に便乗して千葉の別の場所へ移動し初めてちゃんとしたランページに挑戦しました！　滑りやすかったな～、キックターンも何度か満足できるものも決まったし行ってよかった。　

日曜日は栃木まで遠征します、楽しみだな～！

After writing yesterday’s blog, I picked up my HEMIS LEATHER t-shirts and went to Ichihara’s Skatepark.  Usually the park is full of people but because it was a weekday, the park was empty and it was perfect.  I did a kickturn for the first time after weeks of practicing!  Check out the picture…
And yes, my helmet is covered in gold flakes!

We all skated until dark and just when I thought we were going to go home, everyone said they were going to another skatepark.  We all headed to a skatepark in Chiba where we hit the ramps and I practiced my kickturns.  It was a lot of fun!

I’ll be heading to Tochigi on Sunday for more skating.  Looking forward to it!

ANOTHER PHOTO FRAME

こんばんは！いや～今日は遊んでしまった！

午前中に発注していたTシャツ、トレーナー、パーカーを受け取りに行きました、そうですHEMIS LEATHER のオリジナルです！　第一段は菱キリという道具をモチーフにして制作しました、その話はまた後日。

今日はいつもお世話になっているCREWSという楽器メーカーの社長さんの還暦のお祝いの為に制作したフォトフレームを紹介します。

このように写真無しでスペースを埋めるのもいいですね！全てをカービングで埋めることも出来ますし、とにかく気になった方はご相談ください！　　社長さんはこのウサギの絵を入れた記念ギターを制作していますのでこのデザインにしました。ロゴなども彫れますよ！

社長とはいろいろお話も出来たしとても喜んでもらえて嬉しかったです。

そしてその後最近勉強の為に通い始めた鞄教室へ行きました、ここではカービングではなく仕立ての技法を学んでいます。僕が普段仕立てに使う方法はアメリカ系のものですがこの教室ではヨーロッパ系の技法を学んでいます、仕立ての手順が違ったり、とにかく戸惑いが多くて出来てたことが出来なかったりと今のところ散々ですが本気で技術を身に付けていこうと思います！　　

今日は一日中スケートしてました！新しいことも出来てきているし本当に楽しいです。明日少し今日の事を書こうかな。

This morning I picked up ORIGINAL HEMIS LEATHER t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies! A first for HEMIS LEATHER!

Today I gave a photo frame as a present to the President of CREWS Guitars for his 60th birthday.  This year is the Year of the Rabbit, hence the carving of the rabbit for him.  We talked about the piece and he was extremely happy to receive it.

INSIDE OF A WALLET

おはようございます！　風が強いな～。

昨日紹介出来なかったMENSの二つ折り財布の中をお見せしますよ。

まず両側にマチのついた小銭入れです、生産効率を考えてかマチが片側のみの物も見かけますがはっきり言って使いずらいです、自分でテスト済みですので（笑）　両側にマチがあることによって小銭がより取り出しやすくなっています。

次にカードケースについてです、カードスロットは３箇所で無理なく使うのであれば１箇所にカード２枚収納するのが理想です。なのでカードは６枚位収納可能となります、ポイントカードのような薄いカードであればもう少し多く収納可能ですよ。そしてカードケースの裏には隠しスペースがあり、ここがかなり使えます、自分は時刻表、ポイントカード、名刺などを入れています。

最期に札入れ部分です、こちらは外の革と中の革の長さを変えて札が無理なく収納出来るように作られています、こうすることによって財布を開いた時に自然に札入れも開くという構造です。この調節がかなり重要です。

HEMIS LEATHERではそれぞれの場所に合わせて革の厚みを調整して使用しています、詳しくはお伝えすることは出来ませんが美しさと耐久性、これらを両立出来るように制作に取り組んでいます。

Good morning!  Yesterday I talked about my Men’s bi-fold wallets and today I’ll show you the inside of a wallet.

First, I’ll talk about the coin case.  The coin case has gussets on both sides so your coins can fall right in and they’re easy for you to take out.  Wallets with only one gusset are very hard to use and something to think about.  I have tested and tried gussets in wallets and have come up with the best design for coin access.

Next, card slots.  There are three card slots and each slot can hold around two credit cards.  Therefore, you can fit around 6 cards into the wallet.  Of course if you have point cards (thin cards) you can fit more into each card slot. 

Behind the card holders is a hidden card slot for miscellaneous things.  For me, I put my business cards, point cards and bus cards there so even though they’re out of sight, they’re not out of mind.

Last is the bill slot.  I’ve carefully measured the leather so that when you open your wallet, the bill slot opens so that you can reach in and pull out your bills.  You will save yourself the trouble of having to physically widen the bill slot to find the right amount of cash needed.

Each HEMIS LEATHER wallet is not made from one piece of leather; rather I use varying degrees of thickness of leather to create the different parts.  This is to make sure the final product is beautiful, easy-to-use and consistent with HEMIS LEATHER quality.

HALF WALLET

こんにちは、今日もフォトフレームのカービングでした。先日ちょっと遠くまで革細工の展示会に行って刺激を受けてきたせいか自分のカービングの精度が少し上がったように思います。何事もそうですが最後まで気を抜いてはいけないんだな。

今回は珍しく赤く染めた部分があるんだけどやっぱり色をきれいに出すのは難しいな～、革が乾いた時にどれくらいの色を出したいかを考えながら染めないと後で薄くなったり濃くなりすぎたりと、なかなかやっかいなのです。まだ公開出来ないのですが大丈夫になったらこちらで紹介しますね！

さ～、今日はMENSのHALF WALLETを紹介します。別に女性の方が使っても全く問題はないですが一応MENSとして販売しています。

画像の財布はアメリカで開催されているコンテストに出品したもので入賞は逃したもののかなりの高評価をいただいた作品です、記念に保管しているものなので使っていませんし販売もしていませんがこのデザインで財布が希望でしたらオーダー頂ければ制作可能ですよ！

通常ではフラワーの大きさは、なるべくひとつの大きさに統一してデザインを書いていくのですがこの作品はわざと大きさを変えて奥から飛び出すような視覚効果を狙ってみました。今後この雰囲気のデザインを書くかはわかりませんが個人的には結構気に入っているデザインですね。

財布はレギュラー商品として男女共に長財布と二つ折り財布をご用意しています、このブログでも紹介していきますので楽しみにしていて下さい。今回紹介の二つ折り財布はカスタムオーダーの商品となります。

内装は今回紹介出来ませんでしたが何年もかけて改善しテストしてきたので使いやすいと評判です、また次の機会に紹介させていただきますね！

Today I continued working on a photo frame.  I attended a leather show recently and I’ve noticed that since I thoroughly examined the products displayed, I make finer carvings and I can see the improvements in my work.  I realize that I have to focus on being meticulous from start to finish of my leatherwork.

 Today I am going to introduce my Men’s Half Wallet designs.  Ladies, you can use these great compact wallets as well.  This wallet is the one I entered into an American Leather-Crafter’s contest.  I didn’t win an award but my score and the comments received were high.  This wallet has not been used or sold so if you are interested in ordering one with the same design, rest assured, it’s one of a kind.

Usually I draw flowers the same size in each design, but the flowers are in wallet are different sizes so that when looking at the wallet, the flowers come outwards like 3D.  I’m not really drawing designs like this right now, but I do love this one.

PHOTO FRAME

昨日はSSCのYSKさん達と市原のスケートパークに行ってきました、昼前から暗くなるまで滑ってました。サーフィンをやってるより確実に早いスピードで知り合いや友達が増えてきているな～、

スケートやらない人にはスケーターなんて素行が悪くて怖いイメージがあるかもしれないけど、そんな事全然なくてみんな限られたスペースの中で仲良く滑ってるのが毎回好印象だな。

オレはまだ初心者でオーリー練習してるけど、たぶん１cm飛べてるかなって感じ、

同じくらいの人を見ると負けたくないって思うし、ま～楽しく続けますよ！

え～と今回はフォトフレームを紹介します。

A4サイズのフォトフレームを使っての作品で今までに開店祝いにお店の名前などを入れたりしてきました、中でもダントツに多く頂くオーダーは友達や後輩、お世話になっている方々が結婚した際に贈るプレゼントとしてのオーダーです。　今回紹介する物も結婚のお祝い用の作品です。

名前と西暦、そして日付。左側には写真を入れるスペースがあります、最近はFACEBOOKの利用者が多くなっているのでそこから写真を持ってきて写真を入れて渡す事がほとんどのようです。

フォトフレームは￥１５，０００から受け付けています、数人でお金を出し合って購入していただいている方々がほとんどです。

完全ハンドメイドなのでこの雰囲気は機会には出せません。

贈る側も贈られる側も忘れることのないプレゼントになると思いますので気になった方は是非ご相談ください！

 Yesterday I went with my friend, U-SK, to  Ichihara’s Skatepark.  I’ve made friends a lot quicker skateboarding than surfing and despite people thinking that skaters are punks and have a bad image, everyone is actually very nice. 
The skatepark isn’t very big but everyone shares the space and gets along. 
I’ve just recently started skating and I can get about 1cm off the ground doing an Ollie, haha!  It’s good to watch the other beginners and try to be better than them; it’s fun to have the competitive spirit.

And now, I’d like to talk about photo frames.  Photo frames have been my most popular sales recently because they are the most versatile and personable.  The frames were given as wedding presents, with the couple’s names and wedding date engraved alongside a picture of their wedding, and carved the names of companies to be used as signboards.  
They are beautiful gifts for any occasion and the best part about them is that you can customize and personalize the art.
Photo frame orders cost from 15,000JPY and up, depending on the amount of carving of the piece.  Some of my customers have ordered as a group – ten people chip in for one photo frame, means each person pays just 1,500JPY each.  A great idea!
