あけましておめでとうございます。　今年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

年末年始は食べまくっています、、、、。家からは出ていません、、、。　テレビとインターネット。　太ったかな～、、、。


それはさておき２０１２年の初彫りしましたので紹介しようと思います。
去年に引き続き直彫りです。

まずは円を配置して茎の流し方と花の向きを決めて花だけカットしてしまいます。

カットしながらデザインを確定していきます、トレーシングペーパーに書くデザインよりも勢いが出ますね、しかしまだあまり慣れてはいないので結構時間をかけてデザインを決めています。

はい、とりあえずカットを終えました。　なかなか良く埋まったと思いますが一箇所どうしようもないスペースが残ってしまいました、、、、。わかりますか？

無理やり埋めました（笑）　　　さ～ここからはひたすら叩きます。

まだまだ叩きます。

完成です！

ちょいちょい失敗をごまかしつつ終わらせました、そしてオイルを入れました。

ま～こんな感じの事をしてお正月を過ごしています、今年一発目のブログなので画像を多めにしてみました。

Happy New Year!
Over the new year break, I haven’t left my house – I’ve just been eating, watching tv, and using the internet so I’ve probably gained weight…haha!
I want to introduce to you my first carving of the new year. 
As in my earlier posts, I first drew circles into the leather to figure out spacing, drew the flowers, leaves and then connected them with stems, and then carved them deeply into the leather.
As I cut the leather, I decided on the design I wanted to make.  I’m finding that my designs are coming out more powerful when I don’t use tracing paper but because I’m still learning, it still takes me a long time to complete the design.Here is the finished cut design.  There is one space that is blank, can you find it?
It’s here where the knife is pointing.
So, here I just drew some design to fill the space, haha.  Next, I start stamping the design.

I made a lot of mistakes but regardless, I continued and applied a layer of oil.

This is how I spent most of my New Year’s, and because this is my first post of the year, I added a lot of pictures.
